I’m a cat
I’m a cat, And I look outside a window.

I’m a cat,
And I look outside a window.
I’m warm and safe,
inside here,
so I never go out there.
____________
I’m a cat,
And I look outside a window.
The green gazes at me,
Shines brightly,
So I wonder what it is.
____________
I’m a cat,
And I look outside a window.
I’m fed and fussed over,
loved forever,
but I cannot wander.
____________
I’m a cat,
So I stay indoors.
Meow and move
On wooden floors.
I’ll never smell a rose
Or get hurt by a lily.
I see flappy wings,
I’ll shred them to feathers;
I don’t know why?
For I’m a cat — it’s my nature.

Thanks ever so much! Yes, this is my cat — Boo. She has a sister from the same litter called Scout. They’re both featured in this poem here :) https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/scout-and-boo%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E%3C/p%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cstyle data-emotion-css="w4qknv-Replies">.css-w4qknv-Replies{display:grid;gap:1.5rem;}
