I love my friends and our ADHD
Man it is such an honour and privilege to be surrounded by so many lovely neurodivergent folks - below is another love poem for my friends, I am so glad that we found each other

Content warning: mention of drinking/alcohol
What if love is not
The progression that we experience
The way we connect or
what we do together
But the moments in which you and I
Laugh at our own jokes
See ourselves in each other’s expressions
Feel the urge again to cook
Feel the warmth of our own hands
As we sloppily open this bottle of wine
And we share between us
The memories of our childhoods and
drunken soliloquies that brush through our wheezing sweet thunderous giggles
What if love is
The tired glances
That we pass to one another
To signal
That we are hurt
but not hurting
While we wait
Like impatient fishes at the top of a pond
to feel sunlight again
It doesn’t have to make sense
And it doesn’t have to last
But doesn’t mean it won’t change us
It is this that is
The greatest love
Where you can exist
Wholly as yourself
Even momentarily Uninterrupted
And that is why
When you talk
In endless circles
So excited to get that last word out
So confused as to what that word is
I don’t want to be anywhere else
