I Lost More Than Friends, I Lost Pieces of Me

For those who looked away

I thought you were my friends

the deep conversations and endless laughs,

all the promises...

that meant nothing.

You left me.

You ran after the crowd that shined brighter,

laughed louder,

and didn’t care who they stepped on.

Now every hallway feels empty,

every smile from you fake.

You look past me like I don’t exist,

like I was never even here.

I remember the secrets,

the jokes, the plans we swore we’d keep.

You threw them away

for popularity and empty faces.

I’m angry.

I’m hurt.

I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t sting

every time I see you laughing

with everyone but me.

I trusted you.

I believed in us.

And you just…

looked away.
