I'll tell God: A child's Cry

A Voice from Gaza

By Zakir UllahPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

I'll tell God about the pain

The bombs that fall, the homes that break

The laughter silenced, the childhood lost

The world that watches, yet does nothing to save

I'll tell God about the fear

The nights that are dark, the days that are cold

The hunger that hurts, the thirst that burns

The hope that flickers, like a candle in the wind

I'll tell God about the injustice

The occupation that hurts us

The freedom that's denied, the voice that's silenced

The dignity that's hurt, the soul that's sad

I'll tell God about the dreams

The dreams of peace, of freedom, of life

The dreams of a childhood, happy and free

The dreams of a future, where love shines bright.
