I'll Still be Writing

When I Die

When I die,

I’ll be sitting at my desk.

Still typing away

Creating more stories

Pecking out a few more poems

Learning more new words

When I pass on

I’ll finish what I have started

Then, I will begin something new

Brainstorming new ideas

Telling spellbinding tales

Sailing in my mind to new lands

Putting pen to paper

And describing what I see

I’ll still be writing

When I die

Mother Combs

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.

Loved the title!!! 🔥🤩🔥 And the content means so many things. Like "nothing is going to stop me from what I love to do!"

Yeah, I have no intention of quitting either, unless something really grabs my attention--- squirrel!

FANTASTIC!! Seems like we're two of a kind. I think I need to take today off, though. I have a raging headache, so I'm going to take a pill and like down. It's either that or vomit .. yes, the pain is that bad. Maybe tomorrow, I'll write about it.

  • Great poem! I like It’s darkness!
