"Once Upon a Time" I knew someone on the frontlines of Hell
I'd assume they'd rather be watching "Better Call Saul"
No, she's an "Outlander" in reality
She has bills to pay and a "Full House" and "Fuller House" to feed
She doesn't have time for any "Family Guy"
And have "Bob Ross: Beauty is Everywhere" reassure her
Because she is a determined worker
And she wears the "Suits"
And holding "The Crown" of that is no easy task
But the world was never "The Good Place"
Whether COVID's "Breaking Bad" or not
So she concludes at the end of the day
Written on a sticky-note abover her bed
That she "wouldn't rather be doing anything else"
...
So at the end of the day, tired and worn
She looks in the "Black Mirror" at who she's become
A sad reality show of "Grey's Anatomy"
More like "Schitt's Creek" or "The Walking Dead"
Bags under eyes, hair full of unrest
Her soul smiles to her cheeks and she knows
That every ounce of working long-hours
Is worth it
Even if it only saves a single life
...
But here I am lying next to "Friends" and "Community"
Complaining about my lack of social-access
And that the fridge is running low
But these people I know don't live with the "Elite" either
As they give up so much
I'm stuck here pondering and
Wondering "13 Reasons Why"
It's "The End of the F***ing World"
About the Creator

I love all things writing...though I am particularly biased towards good, vulnerable poetry. I love pouring my heart on a page with every piece I write. Life is for expressing, not containing.
