I Know I'm in a Poem

I know I’m in a poem.

It’s a poem that doesn’t always rhyme.

The rhythm doesn’t always fit right.

Or maybe I’m in a song.

It doesn’t really matter I guess.

But I like how this poem or song is. Sometimes. Not always. But mostly. In general. Overall. Maybe it’s just that I get too into the poem or song sometimes. Like I expect it to be a certain way.

I don’t think it’s a painting I’m in.

Everything changes far too much.

Unless it’s the way we look at paintings that makes me think this isn’t one. Maybe every stanza is a painting. Or every measure. Every moment?

Well, anyway, I know I’m in something.

I don’t know if someone made it, and if they did, who.

But I like how it is. Sometimes. Not always. But mostly. In general. Overall.
