I hold you in my heart

For you

By Toni CooperPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I hold you in my heart

An echo through time, a moment

A memory refusing to part

Where silence meets torment

A quench-less thirst

A hunger that cannot fill

Loving agony, a curse

Is for you what I feel

As I daze in your eyes so green

I am consumed with you

The most beautiful I have seen

Aching the very touch of you

The heart alone has its reason

To persists in such devotion

Unbearable relentless temptation

Secret I dare never to mention

You are the treasure I hide to keep

Buried in my chest’s own heartbeats

The one, the only so many seek

Making me dream, making me weep

A barely audible whisper

Surround my thoughts, of lust & sin

I dive, I relish and linger

Shivers overtaking my skin

Desires of lips touching

Hands holding

A touch silently awaiting

Patience painfully persisting…

So close, yet away from my reach

Waiting for all seasons passing

Shall life be kind & grant me my wish

I vow to give you my heart forever loving

What is meant to be

Will always find its way

So I hope, beg & pray

Fate to bring you to me one day

...I hold you in my heart...
