I Have Been Thinking About The Lord

A Poem

By Katerina PetrouPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

I have been thinking about the Lord.

And I feel in him I have found a friend.

But, my God is not your God.

And we are very different.

I pray by dancing to soul in the kitchen,

while you beg me to attend Sunday Service.

I do not ask for him when I am desperate.

Though, I know I may always be a patient.

I raise my hand to the Lord

because he never raises his voice at me.

And I know he will love me with a smile

or when I am dying on my knees.

When I am ready to live

or when I am ready to leave.

He will reach out his hand to me

and I will be ready.

I have been thinking about the Lord recently.

And he looks a lot like my father.I have been thinking about the Lord.

And he looks a lot like my father.

I doubt God ever said you needed a church to pray. My thoughts are that as long as you believe and are thankful for what He's given you, He'll always be by your side. But, if you need something specific, He'd appreciate your prayers. Here's an example: my daughter in law was diagnosed with cancer. My son (her husband) is disabled. They have an autistic 18 year old. ...... I prayed that Donna would be healed; if not cured, at least healed enough where surgery would save her. Two weeks ago, the surgeon did another MRI ..... THE CANCER IS GONE!!! no surgery is needed........... So, yes, God walks with us and would like to hear from us occasionally.
