Ode to grief

I grieve, I am grieving, when I am not with you.

I know I am lying to myself, but I want your heart to feel it too.

The winds of change pass me by, because my storm will never break.

And every time I leave your side, my heart begins to ache.

Like a sickness this is, it makes me feel ill.

As if every daily action is a massive, mammoth hill.

And I don't even want to climb it, because you aren't climbing it too.

I grieve, I am grieving, because I am not with you.

The despondency and longing are felt in your poetic use of words.
