I was taught to choose peace over stress

I was taught to never babie grown men or women

I was taught to be independent

I will lead you to right way, but I will not do the work for you

This is everything my mama taught me

Don’t let anybody be overly dependent on you

And don’t be overly dependent on someone else

That what my mama taught me

I tell the hard truth and mind my business

Don’t get mad at me if you fall and I choose not to help

Especially if we all said don’t do it or stop.

I learn that from my mama.

It's called tough love.

It’s Your Consequence why would I suffer with you.

Don't get upset if I think you are capable of doing something and I don't do it for you

I don’t handicap people.

That's what I was taught by my mama.

So, if I am a horrible person then so, are you for making me have to choose between peace or worrying restlessly.

No I don't think that makes you a horrible person. It makes you a person who knows self worth and knows how to look out for herself. Loved your poem!
