I fell in love, with myself.

This is a poem that I wrote to myself capturing the essence of what it means to write yourself a love letter.

From across the room of galaxies and time I see your faces in empty spaces.

A smile a giggle a whisper I observe and stutter at the sight of you.

Butterfly lips that kiss and caress hips please oh please come to me.

Time and space exist in not this present, before me walks an angel.

Sent from the heavens an angel of angels beyond what words describe and tongues confess you are my savior from the idea love doesn’t exist, before me I see that it is.

I don’t know you but I know of the idea of you and my fondness I am finding is further than skin deep.

Of beauty you have, yet the poise in which your posture is positioned exposed your confidence and your stride is one of sure-footedness.

I gaze at you with the likeness of what could be.

It is as if time itself has stopped and I am at the mercies of it and I have no choice but to lay down my weapons and surrender to the one I see before me.

Smile of lilies of valley,

Skin of an angel,

Hands of skilled craft,

Eyes feeling like oceans,

Waves crashing into the notion that I might just be falling in love with the most beautiful creation before me.

Beyond the words and the physical eye,

An angel before me,

In your arms,

May I die.

Love can conquer and come through a healing soul.

I allow the light in,

For I know love is not a sin.

Allow I allow you.
