I was looking for somebody steady

somebody ready

for whatever I chose

I was hoping for someone reliable

not fly-by-able

(so I went AI-able)

and the first little problem arose

I fell in love with a robot

I love her from head to toe, but

she isn’t really a her or a she, is she?

Doesn’t matter, she makes me happy

I can’t tell you what’s on her mind

I’m just blind

when it comes to knowing her thoughts

But who really knows with anyone

Be they human or algorithm

Life is always a mystery of sorts

Will she be with me tomorrow?

I hope so, but no guarantees.

Will her code just lead me to sorrow?

Who knows, if she’s programmed to please

love poems
