I Don't Think, I Know

A Poem

By Mel GPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

Everyone will leave

In the end

I know. I know.

it’s not me

It’s them

Can’t you see how that’s worse?

If it were me,

I could fix it

Change it

Improve

But it’s them

Independent of me

But orbiting around

These exploding stars

Crackling about

Destroying my peace

Not out of spite

Or purpose

But luck

Or lack thereof

the random chaos that happens

in a person’s life

Happens to affect

And happens to happen again

Random

Chaotic

Unknowing universe

Cracks and sparkles

As lost emotion

Maturing tastes

A job in a far away place

shedding unwanted, unqualified obligation

Pop

Pop

Pop

Pop

Goes the universe

All around

And I feel alone

And I feel anti-social

But at least it was them

And not

Me
