I Don't Need Your Love

I was the center of your universe,

The reason for your every breath.

You loved me with a passion so deep,

And swore to cherish me until death.

We danced under the starry skies,

And whispered sweet nothings in the night.

You promised to hold me tight,

And make me your shining light.

But as time passed, things began to change,

The glimmer in your eyes faded away.

You started to drift, without care,

And left my heart in disarray.

I cried myself to sleep, each night,

Wishing you would come back to me.

But you were too caught up in your dreams,

To see the love that we used to be.

Now, I stand here, with a broken heart,

Wondering how I will ever mend.

But I know that I must find my strength,
