I Don't Believe You

I'm NOT sorry, I don't believe you.

I'm sorry but, I don't believe you

Your words, and your actions,

They don't match

I suppose speaking is your self-satisfaction

You repeat yourself as many times as you do

But YOU-

Are who you are trying to convince

Not a sense, who you say you are

Your speech is loud and your actions mute

Only true in there absence

Absent of any substance

How you perceive your image and its actual, show their differences

Empty promises fill your breath

If you were to be pain only be the number of sentences-

You'd have your wealth

But I'm not buying any stories you're selling

I'm yelling in my sigh, at the sight of YOUR rut

Your voice has dug for you

Lying lips are the home of a deceitful tongue

The sirens have sung of you

The colors you hide have at last been painted

A portrait of polar opposites- You and yourself

Do you believe you?

Are you lying to yourself too?

Oh

Unintentionally so?

Does the man in the mirror know?

What you say about him-

I bet even he doesn't believe you

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
