I Don't Always Remember My Dreams, But When I Do...

Please, Do Not Disturb

Swept up in a dream

Locked away, in a memory

Lost magically between

What is real and sensory

*

Surrender to sounds

Stirring emotions inside

Wayward desires compound

Thoughts that will not subside

*

My skin starts to pulse

REM's kicking in

Instinctive impulses

Make my mouth start to grin

*

As the journey proceeds

instincts start to feel gritty

The body knows what it needs

The sway, swinging rhythmicity

*

The pull grows even stronger

The will, does not surrender

No time left to ponder

The dream always remembers

*

The fight to awaken

I have given away

I don't need to be shaken

Or even want to awake

*

What happens in dreamland

Well, you know how it goes

Take the clock off the nightstand

And we'll see, I suppose

If it's possible, I'd love to live in a dream, lol. Loved your poem!

  • What happens in Dreamgas, stays in Dreamgas. (Unless we really want to share & can remember.)
