I'd Rather Stay Here

A poem

In the depths of darkness, where shadows creep,

Lies a hidden realm, secrets to keep.

Beneath the city streets, a world unseen,

Where mysteries dwell, in the nightmare's dream.

Dimly lit by flickering lights, piercing the tomb,

Whispers echo, shrouded in gloom.

A symphony of murmurs, water's gentle hum,

A strange journey, in this cavernous kingdom.

Pungent odors waft, a peculiar blend,

Decaying debris, an aroma to transcend.

Cool dampness lingers, as fingertips tread,

Slippery surfaces, a tactile thread.

Flavors imagined, in the depths below,

A taste of secrets, untold stories to bestow.

Ancient breath whispers, of hidden allure,

In the sewer's depths, an enigmatic cure.

Venture forth, embrace the unknown,

In this underworld realm, a path to be shown.

Discover the wonders, beyond the ordinary's brink,

In the mystic sewer's realm, where senses interlink.

But I'll stay here, in the realm of light,

Where sunshine dances, and winds take flight.

For in the realm of sewers, stench and darkness reigns,

And I'd rather stay, where fresh air and light remains.
