I Create The Stars To Draw You Near
A Love Letter To The Moon
paper stars on silkin strings
dangle from the tiles I painted black
fairy lights and wishful dreams
hoping that they will draw you back
you hide beneath the darkened clouds
as I long to see your face
please, tear away the this hazy shroud
and hold me in your warm embrace
I hear the crackling of the vinyl
as the needle finds the vein
reliving the reprisal
everytime you say my name
how I've missed, the mist of your light
as it washes over me
I long to dance into the night
setting the wonders in me, free
pull me, as the ocean
save me from this somber fate
set my heart in motion
before this wistful longing is too great
sweep me away in melody
sing me songs of earth's delights
into your arms, so velvety
as the stars light up the night
