I Cannot See, But I Know You Love Me
Haiku poems about each of our five senses

**Author's note: I published a poem last month on Vocal about embracing our senses:
Open Your Senses to This Place We Call Home - A septet free verse poem that embraces our five senses.
This is a set of five haiku poems that try to encapsulate how a blind person compensates with other senses for their lack of sight but can still recognize the warmth of love.
---
Visions in my mind
Through closed eyes, my sights unfold.
Sights I cannot find.
---
Your hand touches mine,
Reassuring me you're there,
Leave your hand in mine.
---
Your sweet voice I hear,
Though your shape I cannot see.
Speak softly to me.
---
Smell - sense so divine,
Roses, perfume, and red wine,
Whenever I'm with you.
---
Touch your lips to mine,
Let me taste your love, divine,
Blind, but you are mine.
---
Till next time, thank you for reading my poems,
Calvin
