I can't breathe

why did you leave me?

Standing in the middle of a meadow, on the a warm summer day,

It’s the time of day where the sun hits your face- it’s no longer hot but the kind of warm where once you look away it becomes dark and cool.

Usually this is the greatest feeling but it’s now a different feeling,

Something’s off- the air feels stiff and stuffy, it’s hard to breath,

The feeling of an onset anxiety attack or is that a panic attack?

Does it matter at this point?

The one person I need isn’t here- you’re not even here anymore.

I can’t even call you- what am I supposed to do now?

I hear muffled talking but it sounds like it’s coming from underwater,

How can that be when I’m standing on land and the sun is beaming down on to me- it’s so bright I can’t see anything besides silhouettes of something moving fast

Why is there no air? I’m outside in the air; there’s a hole in the ozone layer, is it finally happening? Outer space stealing Earth’s air.

When will it be over? How can I fast track to the finish line so I can just hear your voice?

heartbreak
