I Can Go Anywhere
What can't you do with a smart phone these days?

I can go anywhere through my phone,
I can see everywhere and anything,
from Zanzibar to Rome.
That’s why it is always with me.
That’s why it is always by my side,
for all things that I can do and see.
Put it down? I could, if I wanted.
I’m not attached or trapped by it,
I could walk away anytime undaunted.
I just don’t want to, that’s all.
I could if I wanted. But I don’t, so I won’t.
It has nothing to do with withdrawal.
I don’t get anxious when it's gone,
it isn’t that I don’t remember numbers,
birthdays, or passwords if it’s not turned on.
It isn’t that I still get lost without Maps,
it isn’t that it is my only alarm and clock,
and it isn’t that I heavily rely on multiple apps.
I could get by without it, I’m sure I could.
It isn’t that big a part of my life.
I didn’t even have a phone in my childhood.
No, I don’t need it. It isn’t a fixation.
I won’t even check it now,
Oh, wait! Is that a new notification?
