We will improvise tonight, you and me,

We will forget tomorrow, in the day,

But tonight, we hold on, and will be free,

Wrapped in each other’s arms, with no delay.

You are never far from my thoughts, at all,

Your quick wit, charm, and sarcasm, I miss,

It is you when I hear the curlews call,

It is you I yearn to be with, just kiss.

__________________________

It is your voice, your calmness that soothes,

The love that shines like a light from your eyes,

The music you gave me, to which I groove,

We will meet one day, under the skies.

I will remember you, as life unfolds,

Your love lives inside me, I become bold.
