i amplify in stillness

i amplify in stillness.

and so i sit.

i surrender.

i remember what it means to breathe.

i move gently.

pen glides just as smoothly

as i my hand that feels

the slightly rough surface of my page.

if i could,

i might rearrange my thoughts

to fit more neatly in my mind.

if i could,

i would probably let a lot float away.

and so i shall,

because i can.

i am the constant flow of change.

my thoughts more fleeting

than i could ever imagine.

times feel tough in some regards

and easy in another.

i remain as open as i can be

in these moments of self preservation.

perhaps i can elevate myself

yet remain deeply connected to the earth.

perhaps my time is of the essence

and the essence is actually me.

perhaps i am motivated

by some kind of fear of letting go -

surrendering to what could never

be known.

the more i sit in stillness,

the more i grow from the inside out.

reminded to remember.

i surrender to the non moving parts

of my being.

i let myself be,

and from there i can see.
