I am woman .... why do i cry

Don't just fight Vote

By Kia T Cooper-ErbstPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

tears slipping down

cheeks from eyes half closed

as radios play in the background

with old men sprouting nonsense

regarding

the state of women's bodies

(what the hell!! are they women??)

born from one yes

but what do they now about me, MY BODY.....

tell me what do they know?

I cry for the women who have gone before me .....

for those that had no recourse no other options

but thanks to the legality of what is Roe

Almost 50 years we have had that

The generation of women …. Girls that were born during Roe

And the ones after Roe …. I cry for us

I cry for the girls(young women) i am raising

How do i tell them that old men think

they should be in charge of ….

My Daughters Bodies

( what the fuck)

I cry for the future of our young women , of our young men ,

While I may cry ….. I will also Fight

for the right to choose what happens to my body

For the protection of my right to vote

For all the protections and liberties

i as a woman enjoy

inspirational
