You come each year,
Bringing hope and cheer.
Resolutions start with might,
Fading quickly from sight.
Lovers hold hands tight,
Dreaming under starlit night.
By February’s fleeting kiss,
They lament love they miss.
Businesses set lofty goals,
Chasing targets, endless tolls.
Success feels bittersweet pain,
Efforts lost in gain.
Parents wish children rise,
First in every prize.
But dreams sometimes break,
Under pressure mistakes make.
Why you visit, year?
Filling hearts with fear?
Three-sixty-five fleeting days,
Lost in forgotten ways.
Teach forgiveness and grace,
Help us heal life’s space.
Make us better souls,
Chasing meaningful, worthy goals.
Let this world be kind,
Leave regrets far behind.
Aging year, stay strong,
Guide us where we belong.
New Year, stay good,
Spread love as you should.
Though your time is brief,
Fill hearts with relief.
I am wishing you "Good New Year" ❤️❤️❤️
