I am clairaudient

I can hear things that

most would just call

white noise

I am Magic

At 5 years old

I could understand

Shakespeare as if Elizabethan English

was my first language

I am Art

By 10 I was reading runes

and learning tarot

and collecting crystals

Magic

At 12 I immersed myself

in Greek Mythology

craving the stories of the past

Art

Magic and Art are all around me

they consume my essence

they make my decisions

they whirl and swirl around

showing me the way

I am missing

in 1979 I was removed from the pride flag

plucked from my home

and told I was inconvenient

that my presence cost too much to produce

turquoise is magic

turquoise is art

turquoise is a mixture

of green and blue

nature and serenity

swirling together to create the beauty we hold

the creative energy that makes up our souls

we are magicians and artists

alchemists and performers

sorcerers and creators

all wrapped up in one color

one hue

one shade

turquoise

nature poetry
