I am Human

This is my label.

Why am I a race before I am human?

Segregated before birth.

Labelled an inaccurate colour by someone I don't know and have never met.

How perplexing.

Call me ignorant, if I'm mistaken, but aren't our singularities derived from the nature of our very being?

Genetics.

Dividing, mutating, growing, evolving, inherited since creation.

Adaption.

Nurtured by Mother Nature in the cause of survival, ignited by cravings to explore.

Were the changes not gradual? Did they occur within a blink? In the words of David Walliams, "Computer says no", and so do I.

Yet these facts are discarded to the wind as we continue to put the cart before the horse.

These Live Matter. Those Lives Matter. All Lives Matter. Equally.

Divided by differences. Connected by our roots.

I am human before a race.

When will others see the same.
