I Am But a Flowing River.

……stream of consciousness

By Marvelous MichaelPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

I am a river, flowing without thought,

Thinking, but not really thinking,

Writing, but not quite writing—

The world is here, then it’s gone,

And I wonder why the sky feels so heavy.

Am I supposed to know what’s next,

Or should I just let it flow,

Like the river I once saw

That didn’t care where it went,

Just as long as it kept going.

_______

The trees whisper secrets I cannot hear,

The breeze carries dreams I can’t hold,

I’m caught between moments,

Yet somehow I’m not lost.

I think…

I wonder if the river ever wonders

Where it’s headed, or if it simply trusts,

Letting the current take it wherever it pleases.

_____

So why should I fight the pull?

Why should I resist the flow?

Perhaps I am the river,

And my path is not for me to know.

I’ll just keep moving,

Keep drifting,

Keep breathing.

……..

Maybe that’s enough for now.

What a lovely, chill vibe! Your words flow like the river itself—effortless and full of quiet wisdom. Keep drifting; this is gold! 😊💖

Beautiful! I know the feeling- sometimes I question my own path, and why I'm where I'm at. But even though we think we're just winding along like the river, we're on a carefully orchestrated path that only He knows.

So free and beautiful to see that we can finally just let loose and go with the flow.
