I am Broken

It doesn't feel the way it should,

My heart has a million cracks,

For I am broken.

The tattered pieces are sharp,

The hand that touches me bleeds and hurts,

For I am broken.

Everything is falling apart,

Nothing is the way it was,

For I am broken.

But....

I will rise and join my broken pieces,

I will heal, I will forgive,

I will not be broken forever.

I will let my scars shine,

I will wear the rugged edges proudly,

I will not be broken forever.

I will love , I will give

I will smile and I will beleive,

I will not be broken forever.

Some pieces no longer fit,

I will let them go,

I will let the light shine in,

I will not be broken forever.

The sadness will drift away,

Peace and joy will prevail,

I will be broken, but complete.
