I am a Tree

To follow the birds and bees

Ever since I was little

My souls been screaming inside

Longing to be a part of

This world that I hide.

I bent my head and tried

To find a like minded hive

So I could really be

A working little bee.

I followed all the rules

And fluffed my feathers high

To be like all the birds

And mating on the fly.

But I’ve never had a set of wings,

Feathered or iridescent.

My feet have been rooted in

And networked into the ground.

For I am not a bee

Not a bird it would seem.

I am but a lonely tree

Reaching in each direction

Longing for some kind of connection.

For Fun
