I am a Rainbow

My True Colors

By Julianna Porche Published 5 years ago 1 min read
I am a Rainbow

I am a rainbow and every color in it.

Here waves this flag in front of me.

Each color vibrant in its own way.

Hues representing each side I once hid,

Now shining parts of who I am.

The red is my action, strength, energy, and passion.

It’s my fire and my adventure,

With shades of crimson, rose, and vermilion.

The orange is my spontaneity, creativity, warmth, and positivity.

It’s my sun and my courage,

With shades of terracotta, cayenne, and pumpkin.

The yellow is my happiness, optimism, positivity, and intellect.

It’s my light and my clarity,

With shades of mustard, marigold, and canary.

The green is my growth, rebirth, and harmony.

It’s my nature and my hope,

With shades of emerald, lime, and sage.

The blue is my loyalty, understanding, and security.

It’s my sky and my peace,

With shades of navy, aqua, and royal.

The indigo is my power, dignity, and integrity.

It’s my midnight and my justice,

With shades of lavender, eggplant, and blueberry.

The violet is my spirituality, wisdom, and sensitivity.

It’s my mountain and my balance,

With shades of grape, mauve, and purple.

I spin in a circle with this flag of colors on my back.

You can love me,

Or you can hate me,

But you will not break me.

Because I am a rainbow and every color in it,

Every version and every shade.

I am a rainbow

But not just Roy G Biv

I am blacks, browns, whites, and pinks.

I am every color of a rainbow,

But then again, I am more than you see.
