I am a Poet

In the quiet, I speak

Born to be reticent,

Having no flocks to goof with,

Cribbed to my home,

Daydreaming is my zone.

Sketching out personae,

I am the company of myself.

With my mouth sealed shut,

I roam my world.

I opened my eyes and looked at the world—

My thoughts are different from most.

Why can't I express?

Because I can't communicate with most.

Let the pen be my mouth,

And the words be my thoughts,

Bleeding on my paper.

I am a Poet.

About the Creator

Anu's Quill

I’m just an existential wanderer who happened to stumble into poetry. I think about writing more than I actually write—not the best poet, but trying to get better, word by word, as I share my thoughts and voice.

I loved your poem. I mean a few words in each line; but expressed your entire life — You being an introvert and being a best-self company to yourself. The way to speak through your pen is something extraordinary! "Daydreaming is my zone" I loved this one, expresses your free-style and goofy solitude 😃✨
