I am a chameleon
I’ll blend in with you
You go high
I go too
In the sky
I’ll be blue
Down below
on the ground
I’ll be green
I’ll be brown
Any color will do
As long as I match you
But please don’t think I change
my true self to fit in
For my soul is a rainbow
Holding every color within
I’ll be red as a rose
Even redder? I suppose.
Yellow as a daisy
All hues amaze me
Adapting like crazy
But colors never hazy
I can bloom all year long
Singing every note to every song
I’ll be a tropical paradise
Or a wonderland full of ice
City, state, country
Every culture has touched me
But ultimately I don’t change
My true self to fit in
For my soul is a rainbow
Holding every color within
