I am a black women
With hair thick as wool
skin as rough as bricks
And Eyes as brown as dirt
Yet my heart still bleeds red
I am a black women
Who thinks of herself as royalty
Loves to read
And even have fun
Yet my heart still bleeds red
I am a black women
Who sees her people dying
Dying because of their skin
And I don’t know how to help
Now my eyes bleeds red tears
I am a black women
Who is angry
Who is fed up but scared to die
Who life is at risk
So my eyes bleeds red tears
I am a black women
That will let my voice speak of for those who died
Those that wasn’t able to breathe to speak up
Who needs justice today and everyday
Who blood was also red
I am a black women
Who is tired of staying quiet
Who speaking up on the behalf of my ancestors
And the behalf of my people today
Yet we still bleed red
I am a black women
Who will not back done
Until equality really mean something
Until I can get you to realize as well
That we all are the same Just different races
And you too bleeds red
I am an angry black women
Who live in a world Despite that my people are killed for our complexion
Just want justice for my people
And to love everyone no matter what
Also to remind you
That we all bleed red despite of our complexion
