I am more than a mother
More than the tiny humans that came from my body
I am more than my body
More than my uterus, my thighs, my ass, my breasts
I am more than just a pretty face
Take that “You’re pretty but…” and shove it
I am more than the good child,
The reliable one,
The “Can you do this for me?”
I am a ball of energy.
Fire and Electricity
Sizzling-Popping-Crackling
I am more than my anxiety
Waiting to come to the surface,
Tingling sensations from the inside out
Making every part of me feel alive.
