Husky and Main-Coony

The Feline vis-a-vis the Canine

By Dave H.Published 2 years ago 1 min read

There was a dog named Husky

And a cat named Main-Coony

Who lived in the same house and flat

They never got along

They always did wrong

They barked and they hissed and they spat

Husky was a big fluffy pup

Who loved to run around and jump

He chased Main-Coony all day

He wanted to play

But Main-Coony was not having fun

Main-Coony was a sleek furry ball

Who liked to curl up on the wall

She scratched the Husky's nose

She clawed her toes

She made him cry out and fall

One day they had a big fight

They bit and they clawed with all their might

They made such a mess

They caused such distress

They gave me a fright

I was angry and sad

I scolded them both very bad

I said they must stop

Or else they would drop

I also said they must learn to be glad

Husky and Main-Coony felt ashamed

They realized they were to blame

They decided to try

To get along and be nice

They decided to end their game

They started to share and to care

They started to cuddle and snare

They became the best friends

They made amends

They became a happy pair.
