Hurting

I am alone and it is fine

but being lonely is what is hurting

I am sad and it is cool

but nobody there to share it with is what is hurting

I am fat and it is unhealthy

but being judged based on my looks is what is hurting

I am alive and it is surreal

but slowly dying inside out is what is hurting

I am patient and it is a gift

but the patience getting away is what is hurting

I am optimistic and it is superb

but the thought of losing that optimism is what is hurting
