Built-In Excuses

By Earl W. PearlPublished 23 days ago 1 min read

This stupid excuse is a patented lie

Used by those never bullied or shamed

What sense does it make that the innocent die

Why are they the ones wrongfully blamed

Who knows what will trigger a frustrated child

And then threatens our children at school

So many still say it’s a weapon gone wild

These are words of a classical fool

It’s clear that the sick walk among us indeed

And they’re clearly unstable, at best

They’re wicked and evil, this demonic breed

And they won’t give their hatred a rest

So what is the answer and what will schools do

Should the parents be called in to speak

The parents of bullies are penalized too

When the bully’s suspended a week

There are plenty of kids who are bullied each day

Yet they never would threatened a bug

So what’s with the ones who think others must pay

Did their parents deny them a hug
