Hunched figures meander through the streets, their heads in servile sway,

Ensorcelled by algorithms' dance, leads independence astray.

Once proudly orthograde mammals, now captive in digital spheres,

Harmonic cycles of posture unravel that evolved throughout the years.

Formerly hunched, we rose to stand in evolution's sacred plan,

Locomotion's anatomical pendulums, now all go into remand.

The hunchbacks of a looming age, captives to the machine,

Binary's labyrinth hypnotizing minds that remain unseen.

Bound by lines of code, like a dark and endless art,

Surrendering to the algorithm's grip, eyes glowing in the dark.

Children of the new inherit the digital stream,

Parents coddling nothingness instead of prepping dreams.

The elegance of reading becomes relic to forgotten lore,

In a realm forsaking Storytime, it fades forevermore.

Though hope shall not abandon, for redemption's path is clear,

We possess the means to awaken, to shake off the digital veneer.

Unplug and reconnect, in handwritten verses find,
