Humanity Learns its Lessons from Dragonflies and Orchids

"All is, as All does; We are All, One in the Same."

By Patricia RabainPublished 6 years ago 2 min read

~~Are we not all cut from the same cloth?

a wise person once said. Hence, I persist in,

I insist on, and promote all helping

professions. I believe in many kinds of

helpers; it’s the flavor of the art.

We humans, get lost, confused, diffused,

and our heads are all over the place.

So, if it works, use it, but never abuse it,

this helping aspect of man. If we would

just look back, look around and above

as well as below, we will be reminded,

that we are not the only creatures

who inhabit this land, who care and

tend to the business at hand. Simple

but true, the dragonfly and you, have

more in common then you or I will

ever know, and the orchid as well,

with its glorious blossom swells,

to remind us all, that life is so short,

and can’t ever, never be bought.

For these reasons, I love them both,

the dragonfly & orchid sport. They are

consistent in their reminder. We

are all part of the layers in the cycle,

members of the village of Mother Earth.

~~Dragonflies are freshwater

creatures. When they die,

it tells you the water is polluted.

Much like humans,

we must also have fresh water

to flourish. When we do not

have fresh water to consume, we die.

Dragonflies also kill bad bugs.

They do the dragonfly dance;

they are dragonfly dance warriors;

they are the champions

of the tiny creature kingdom.

Oh, that I wish we could be warriors

for good and protect each other

and the environment.

~~Orchids,

engage in the art of balance,

beauty, and an orchid’s imprint

have been blessed by

sacred geometry.

Orchids tessellate and

multiply in abundance.

Yes, Orchids,

unlike myself, and

who I aspire to imitate,

and be, one day,

are soft,

yet voluptuous,

are bold,

yet gentle,

are delicate,

yet give a strong showing,

are fragile,

yet fill a person's heart

with the strength of Goliath;

are like children,

difficult to grow,

difficult to nurture,

difficult to tame into their nature,

and are bright,

yet grow all over the place,

unaware of what's coming next,

all on the note of,

sometimes.

~~I love orchids.

I love dragonflies.

Both are two of Mother

Nature's favorite

creations.

Both are complex

organisms, put here

to help us humans

appreciate the pallet

of Mother Earth’s

love of humanity.

~~Mother Earth wants

for our happiness and

well-being. Orchids

teach us that we are better

than we think we are. Dragonflies

teach us that good can conquer bad.

Each of us, in our own individual way,

have something positive to hope for and say;

have something positive to contribute,

to make our lives and others a better

place to dwell within and without.
