Humanity, a painting of great modern minds,

Skyscrapers, miles of concrete we bind,

Oceans vast, rivers wide,

Mountains high, valleys with work to abide.

The hustle-bustle, a cacophony,

As the city noise snuffs out the tree,

Machines, trucks and cars move on by,

With human desires soaring in the sky.

The colors around, fluorescent and bright,

A wonderland of lights, yet no delight,

Humanity acts, like a bee buzzing around,

With the city's rhythm, never a calm to be found.

Life crashes against the wall every day,

A sight never new, painted in a modern way,

Ground beneath feet, shadow of the homes,

A life full of struggle, no words ever spoken.

Humanity is a passage, our civilization's tale,

A catharsis to the progress and a victorious trail,

Embrace it, nurture it, give it love,

And receive from it, the world herein thereof.
