Human Touch

Spoken Word

By Jean Paul LimagePublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Alchemize the negativity regardless of how dense it is ~

Instead of using simple words of encouragement like "you'll feel better",

"tomorrow will be easier", "I'll pray for you"..

I tread carefully to never say those empty words.

What I do as an Artist, is that I realize like just as l've gone through periods where I was empty, feeling discarded, suspended in a void all alone, invisible, not of this planet. . and I had certain friends or specific family who were powerful enough to disrupt my story I kept hitting repeat on enough to pour their life into me at the right place at the Right Time. . I WOULD pass the baton.

My version of bleeding into other people I've best found in the form of spoken word poetry.

Like for example, this piece I wrote cause one of my Marines when I was still in of whom I was once a friend to ran from me after hearing that I was gay while we were all sharing stories in a group setting.

After following him into the next building, finding him cowering behind a couch pleading that I do not come any closer. . I asked why? And he said he was touched as a kid:
