They stare at me as if I am not meant to be here
Maybe I'm not born of this world
All my life I am asked "What are you"
I respond "Human"
"Human" they say and laugh at me
I roll my eyes before they realize all the silliness that comes with asking such a question
I am born of this earth, no different from you
I didn't choose to be born but here I am
I am Human that's all I ever wanted in life
Human is all I can ever be to put it quite simply
Don't try and put me in a box, because you'll never be able to
Don't stare at me as if I'm different from you
We might not look the same but I promise you we are all human
One day you'll look at me and say "Human she is, no different from us"
And that's how it should be
About the Creator
A B.
I'm just a human existing in this world.
