"HUGS NO HATE"

"A HUG FROM YESTERDAY FOR TOMORROW"

This is to inform humanity that I do not write 'just about myself'. I use I because I wrote it. My writings, songs, art, & music are all about you, everyone, they, theirs, them, them, her, him, he, & me. I have authored many stories since I began publishing again in 2023. I chose a lot of my teenage poems to publish in the beggining. I have spontaneously authored other stories, poems, song lyrics, videos, & my own short piano tunes. The stories, & 'all that jazz,' are written about humanity. I know there are a few people who think It's all about me, but 'no way' it's all about. We all live, love, hate, sleep, eat, & go about our chores, our work, our studies everyday on life's highway.

HUGS NOT HATE

We are here today

Gone tomorrow

We lay in our bed

Today

Tomorrow

I loved a lot

I cried tears of joy & pain

Only to borrow from yesterday

To remain the same

The same person

The Same lady

The same to gain

Another hug

From people so smug

I look at life

I stare

In the air

Upon the wondrous universe

Of your time

My time

Their time

I am me

You are you

Shall we not be blue

But relish in speedy hugs

To envelope us as a species

As all humans as we step out to shout

We are one human being species.

To live, to love

Not hate

But wait, digression to lies

And truth

So aloof

I spread the love, the light

To spook

The haters of life

To wipe

Them away

Throw away hate

To the trash

To bash the hate

To embrace the hug

The kiss

All the warmth of light to

Be written on the list

To spread far & wide

I wish

Light

To spread so bright

Upon the land.

We are here today

Gone tomorrow

We lay in our bed

Today

Tomorrow

I loved a lot

I cried tears of joy & pain

Only to borrow from yesterday

To remain the same

The same person

The Same lady

The same to gain

Another hug

A beautiful deep meaning to this poem, hugs are important, what they represent is truly the magic

This is lovely. A 20-second hug means our bodies flood with dopamine, the healthy kind, not the binge-watching Netflix kind. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Your words remind me of galoshes and raincoats, afghans, and fresh apple pie. They’re so warm and familiar yet fresh and enchanting. Thank you for this. I shared…. —S.S.
