Hugging you is like coming home To a warm fireplace and den of rest Beckoning me with homely sights And peaceful sounds Comfy and soft, filling my worn spaces

Hugging you is like coming home To a heated hearth of flaming logs Immediately engulfed in warmth and safety In sweet aromas and scents Of warm sweet pastries and mugs of flavored teas

Hugging you is like visiting My secret countryside hideout Filled with heavenly smells Of flowers, ferns and forest greens And myriad scents of potent herbs

Hugging you is like coming home To my favorite blanket, duvet, or quilt Engulfing me in a bed of warmth and wool Rocking my tired soul to blissful quiet rest

Hugging you is like running a bath With my favorite bath gels and salts Blissfully soaking in warm suds Till my weary bones succumb to sweet ease Relieved from the day's onslaught

Hugging you is leaning into your strong arms Resting against your broad chest Your heartbeat like sweet lullaby tunes Lulling me gently into dreamful rest Your sparkling eyes and warm smile The perfect elixir to my weary bones Ensconced in hugs that feel like home
