hues of me
faint and fading
the first color I remember
mulberry hues fading to spots
the bruises on me
bright and shining
the passing of the sun
turning lilac into horror
learning to fear the dark
dusky and drab
the spine of my first book
royal purple with a tint of gold
the most epic of escapes
mellow and soothing
the melting wax on my therapists desk
lavender and vanilla scents
loving the me that was
glorious and wondrous
all the shades of thistle and orchid
I will be just fine
in the mists of the hues of me
