Black, White, Yellow, Red

Colors of how we are

The darker the shade

The deeper the hole

Living day to day

Struggling to get by

Life holds us by the chains

In the hardest of hours

We fight to find a light

To those who can't bear sound

Just to rely on eyesight alone

For the ones stricken by a sixth sense

At the cost of being in the dark

Or alienated by society

Like a bunch of stranded castaways

Introverts, Outcasts, Loners

Nerds, Geeks, Freaks, and all

Anger management to the bipolar

Or psychology for thy wicked

All these traits we often have in many

Thus called characteristics

slam poetry
