Prologue - The Scourge
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. There should never have been dragons in the Sacred Valley. Those cursed dragons swayed in the calm night wind, swooping and twirling as the sun disappeared beyond the mountains and the twin moons rose over Lurra. May Auras doom you in the afterlife! May you find no salvation there. Their quiet monastery had long been protected from the dragons and horses, swords and spears which descended upon them, destroying his tranquil home with their war.

Where's the Glory?
In breaking news, rehabilitated Republican Senator Johnnie Johnson (Pronouns: HE, HIM, HIS) called a press conference from the Men’s room of the New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport, Concourse B, across from the Ignatius Reilly’s Lucky Dog stand. The Senator had just returned from a sexual reorientation rehabilitation program in Memphis, TN after being publically disgraced at a Buckee’s Truckstop restroom soliciting sex from an undercover cop three months ago. He is a founding member of the Reformed Christians for Christ, a conservative, pro-family and ex-gay advocacy group. In the spirit of being reborn, Senator Johnson invited reporters to marvel at his plans for a major remodeling of airport bathrooms.

That was profoundly deep with so few words. Makes one think
Sonia Heidi Unruh makes a fair point. In a literal case and point we will look towards the other planets wondering what costs and investments we'll have to make to reach them, let alone inhabit them, terraform them, and dominate their landscapes. Think about Nasa, SpaceX, and even Amazon. Then think about what Venus represents. A goddess of love, intimacy, and even fertility. As a goddess a lot of people worship her or aspects of her. We worship the act of love in its various forms, we worship sex and imitate it in ways that are even highly unflattering (such as the porn industry), and when it comes to fertility reproductive rights are still a serious topic of debate regarding ethics and morality. In which many a side will label another as evil. Yet, like a God or goddess, there are people that become infuriated when their prayers go unanswered. Think of the angry people that long to have another person to share their life with and how their loneliness makes them feel jaded and spiteful at the world, think about how there are people that desire for the closeness and connection of more than skin-to-skin contact and yet their lack of it turns them to acts of violence, think of how there are people who constantly provide services of the flesh satiated others' carnal desires but only to never receive love and commitment in return, and think of those that wish to have their own legacy to continue onwards past them but their natural biology or the person that their committed to biology's incapable of doing so thus leaving them without any progeny. A goddess has been worshipped, strived for, attained, mocked, spat on, dismembered, and discarded. People want what they want. And they don't care about who they have to use to get it, be it mortal or immortal construct.
Venus ain't no cheap date, that's for sure!:-) I appreciate all the layers in this
