How Will You Not Suffer?

If I say God is manmade,

you will argue with me.

“God made us,”

you’ll say with confidence,

and hurt me,

though no God ever

told us to be cruel.

But I am a researcher,

done science for decades.

I will say,

we have an immune system,

a security dog.

It doesn’t like irritants,

biological, chemical,

mechanical, psychological.

Don’t expose body,

to these venoms,

don’t inflame self.

But you’ll ignore me,

as if I told a very boring,

utterly rubbish thing.

How will you not suffer?

Wrong mindset

will sure bring sickness.

Then you will seek,

sea cucumbers, rhino horn,

pangolin scales, ginseng,

mushrooms, magic bullets,

exploiting the nature,

inflaming it too.

I sigh.

Why must you choose

mere storytelling

and wallow into suffering?
